View alerts by proactively navigating to the Alerts overview dashboard or wait until you receive an alert notification.
The Alerts overview dashboard allows you to assess the overall situation in your IT environment and detect the most urgent and impactful alerts. Leverage the information on this dashboard to make informed decisions regarding the prioritization and allocation of work with your IT teams.
Refer to the Alerts overview page for more information.
Notifications serve as the initial point of contact, informing you about potential issues or events that require your attention.
Receive these notifications through emails or other channels, such as an ITSM ticket, Microsoft Teams message, or any other third-party tool integrated with the Nexthink platform using webhooks.
The content in a notification varies depending on the metric the monitor evaluates.
If the alert is triggered for a single device, you receive information about the breached threshold for the evaluated metric. Click on the Open device view button to gain deeper insights.
If the alert is triggered for a number of devices with issues, you receive information about the breached threshold for the evaluated metric. Go to the Alerts overview dashboard to get a direct link to the Investigations module with all impacted devices.
If the alert is triggered for the monitor that evaluates the metric across many devices, you will receive information about the threshold that was breached for the evaluated metric. The payload of the alert contains the information on the monitored dimensions, such as binary name. Click on the Diagnose button to gain deeper insights.
Refer to the Diagnostics for alerted issues and Configuring email and webhook notifications for alerts pages for more information.
