# Driver compliance

**Driver compliance** library pack helps you track driver, firmware, and BIOS compliance across Dell, HP, and Lenovo devices.

The solution uses vendor-specific update tools to detect missing updates:

* Dell Command / Dell Update Package for Dell devices
* HP Image Assistant for HP devices
* Lenovo Thin Installer Utility for Lenovo devices

The solution includes dedicated dashboards for each vendor, giving EUC and endpoint teams visibility into pending critical, security, recommended, and optional updates. For Dell and HP devices, the Automated driver compliance workflow can also be used to detect pending critical driver updates and trigger remediation automatically.

The dashboards support Dell, HP, and Lenovo devices. The automated remediation workflow currently supports Dell and HP devices only.

## Problem

A lack of centralized visibility into driver, firmware, and BIOS compliance across your endpoints causes blind spots that hide risks of reduced security, stability, and performance. These risks result in avoidable service desk tickets, device instability, a degraded employee experience, and delayed troubleshooting. Typically, remediation requires significant manual effort to monitor the estate using vendor-supplied, proprietary tools.

## Solution

The **Driver compliance monitoring** library pack provides three dedicated dashboards for monitoring driver, firmware, and BIOS update compliance:

* Driver compliance - Dell
* Driver compliance - HP
* Driver compliance - Lenovo

Each dashboard shows pending updates for the corresponding device vendor and helps teams understand current compliance posture, update exposure, and operational scan health.

For Dell and HP devices, the Automated driver compliance workflow can be used to automate remediation of pending critical driver updates. The workflow identifies whether the device is Dell or HP, checks for pending critical driver updates, and triggers the corresponding vendor-specific driver update remote action. Devices from other manufacturers are marked as unsupported by the workflow.

## Benefits and outcomes

By implementing the "Driver compliance monitoring" solution, you:

* Gain visibility into pending driver, firmware, and BIOS updates across Dell, HP, and Lenovo devices.
* Identify devices with pending critical, security, recommended, or optional updates.
* Segment compliance data by device model, type, country, entity, or other organizational structure.
* Detect devices that have not been scanned successfully or have stale scan data.
* Automate critical driver update remediation for supported Dell and HP devices.
* Reduce incidents caused by outdated drivers and firmware.
* Improve device stability, performance, and employee experience.
* Support compliance reporting with vendor-specific dashboards and operational workflow insights.
