# Remote Action execution errors (classic)

The execution of a remote action can fail for various reasons. Below is a list of possible errors that a failed execution of a remote action can return.

The Finder displays the error message in the field **Execution status details**:

### Timeout <a href="#remoteactionexecutionerrors-classic-timeout" id="remoteactionexecutionerrors-classic-timeout"></a>

*The script timed out and was terminated before completion.*

### Execution of remote actions is disabled <a href="#remoteactionexecutionerrors-classic-executionofremoteactionsisdisabled" id="remoteactionexecutionerrors-classic-executionofremoteactionsisdisabled"></a>

*The remote action could not be executed: the script execution policy is set to disabled.*

### Invalid signature or certificate <a href="#remoteactionexecutionerrors-classic-invalidsignatureorcertificate" id="remoteactionexecutionerrors-classic-invalidsignatureorcertificate"></a>

*The remote action could not be executed: the script signature is invalid or the certificate is not trusted.*

### User context <a href="#remoteactionexecutionerrors-classic-usercontext" id="remoteactionexecutionerrors-classic-usercontext"></a>

*The remote action could not be executed in the context of the user: no user is logged in, there is more than one user logged in (and none are active) or this is a server operating system.*

### Self-help scenario <a href="#remoteactionexecutionerrors-classic-self-helpscenario" id="remoteactionexecutionerrors-classic-self-helpscenario"></a>

*Engage license not enabled or trying to run on a server*

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.nexthink.com/platform/references/references-classic/search-and-information-display-classic/remote-action-execution-errors-classic.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
