Setting up the Platform instance

At the start of the process of launching Nexthink in your organization, Nexthink will send the license holder an email from the following address: license@nexthink.com. The email contains the following information:

URL of your Nexthink instance

This is the URL that all Nexthink users will use to access Nexthink web interface and leverage its data and all capabilities. The URL is agreed with your organization representatives. Navigating to the URL takes you to the Nexthink module configured as the Landing page in the Administration module.

Administrator credentials

You will initially receive an administrator credential and a custom link to set your password and activate your administrator account. This link expires in 7 days.

FQDN of your Nexthink instance

Your Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) to configure connections of Collectors with the Nexthink cloud platform. Your Nexthink URL pattern can be one of the following:

  • <instance>.<region>.nexthink.cloud

  • <instance>.data.<region>.nexthink.cloud

Customer key

The customer key will be attached to your email as a text file. You will need this key during the configuration process to establish a secure connection from Collector to the Nexthink cloud platform.
