Depending on your current infrastructure, you must decide which methods of Collector configuration, installation and deployment are applicable to your organization to ensure the most convenient process. Use the following tips to make the best choice.
For small setups or specific cases, including unmanaged environments, you may opt for installing the Collector manually on each device. This approach is straightforward but can be time-consuming if you have many devices.
For medium to large setups, especially in managed IT environments, the installation of the Collector usually requires automated deployment tools. These tools streamline the process and ensure consistency across all devices.
