Run remote actions as a service

This Technical Preview is made available to customers free of charge for their evaluation and feedback; on general availability the functionalities of the preview may be subject to additional cost and/or licensing.  As such, the Technical Preview, the documentation, and any updates are provided for limited evaluation only and on an ‘as-is’ and ‘as-available’ basis without warranty of any kind.

Nexthink introduces a solution that enables your workflow automations to securely interact with critical on-premise infrastructure, such as Active Directory (AD) domain controllers, by leveraging specifically configured services.

Remote actions that run as a service are designed for use on Windows Server devices that serve as bastion devices to interact with on-prem servers securely. This technical preview enables you to do the following:

  • Create remote actions that can run in the context of a service.

  • Deploy and configure a dedicated service on the bastion device.

  • Make your workflow communicate with the bastion device specifically.

Customer benefits

By configuring remote actions to run as a service on a Windows Server using a dedicated service account with appropriate access, you can streamline user provisioning and license reclamation tasks within the Active Directory (AD) environment. This automation not only saves time but also ensures accuracy and consistency. Leveraging remote actions for such tasks unlocks additional use cases for Flow, enabling to maximize the utility of existing infrastructure and investments.

This technical preview is available in all regions.

Customer commitment

We kindly ask that customers participating in the technical preview invest the necessary resources, focusing specifically on Nexthink Flow, to adequately test and provide feedback on the product features and functionality to the Nexthink product managers during dedicated meetings and calls.
