Introduction
The L1 checklist helps you check for the most common L1 issues with a single device-specific checklist available directly from the Device View. This page will guide you through the structure of the content.

This library pack contains the following content and dependencies:
L1 checklist
Provides a simple view of a single device's stability and performance metrics directly from your troubleshooting platform.
Custom fields with their corresponding Ratings
Average CPU usage (past 24h)
Average CPU usage ratio in the past 24h, expressed as a percentage.
This indicates how much of the time the CPU was busy.
Good: < 80%
Average:
>= 80 and <90%
Bad: >= 90%
Average GPU usage (past 24h)
Average GPU usage ratio in the past 24h, expressed as a percentage.
For devices with more than one GPU, this only refers to the first GPU.
Good: < 80%
Average:
>= -80 and < 90%
Bad: >= 90%
Average Wi-Fi signal strength (past 24h)
Average Wi-Fi signal strength in the past 24h, expressed in dBm.
Good: > -70dBm
Average:
<= -70 and < -80dBm
Bad: >= -80dBm
Average boot duration (past 7 days)
Average boot duration in the past 7 days, expressed in a measure of time.
This represents the time between powering on a device and the display of the sign-in screen.
Good: < 60s
Average:
= 60 and <150s
Bad: >= 150s
Average memory usage (past 24h)
Average memory usage ratio in the past 24h, expressed as a percentage.
This represents the average amount of RAM used by applications and the operating system.
Good: < 80%
Average:
>= 80 and <90%
Bad: >= 90%
Average time until desktop is ready (past 7 days)
Average duration of the time until the desktop is ready in the past 7 days, expressed in a measure of time.
This represents the time between the user login and the device is ready to use.
Good: < 120s
Average:
>= 120 and <180s
Bad: >= 180s
Average time until desktop is visible (past 7 days)
Average duration of the time until the desktop is visible in the past 7 days, expressed in a measure of time.
This represents the time between the last user login and the time the desktop appears.
Good: < 15s
Average:
>= 15 and < 30s
Bad: >= 30s
Last time until desktop is ready
Last recorded duration of the time until the desktop is ready, expressed in a measure of time.
This represents the time between the user login and the device is ready to use.
Good: < 120s
Average:
>= 120 and <180s
Bad: >= 180s
Last time until desktop is visible
Last recorded duration of the time until the desktop is visible, expressed in a measure of time.
This represents the time between the last user login and the time the desktop appears.
Good: < 15s

Number of application crashes (past 24h)
Total number of application crashes in the past 24h.
Good: == 0
Average:

Number of application freezes (past 24h)
Total number of application freezes in the past 24h.

Number of hard resets (past 7 days)
Total number of hard resets in the past 7 days.
This represents abrupt stops of a device caused by pressing the reset button, power failures, or crashes

Number of system crashes (past 7 days)
The total number of device system crashes in the past 7 days.
This represents abrupt crashes of a device, such as Blue Screens of Deaths (BSODs).

System drive free space
Amount of free space currently on the system drive.
Good: > 30GB
Average:
<= 30 and >23GB
Bad: <= 23GB
Total traffic (past 24h)
The combined total of both incoming and outgoing traffic in the past 24h, expressed in bytes.
This represents the amount of bytes sent and received by applications.
[Native NQL field] Last full boot duration
The duration of the device last boot following a restart or a complete shutdown.
Good: < 60s
Average:
>= 60 and <150s
Bad: >= 150s
[Native NQL field] Days since last full boot
The number of days since the device last boot following a restart or a complete shutdown.
Good: < 1d
Average:
>= 1 and <7d
Bad: >= 7d

Configuration guide
To effectively use this library pack, the content must be installed and configured appropriately. Below are some suggested steps to install and configure the content properly before use.
Step 1) Install library pack content
Go to the Nexthink Library and install all required content.
Step 2) Adjust ratings to suit your needs
If you need to customize the ratings on this checklist to suit your needs, you can do the following:
Make a note of the ratings used in this L1 checklist pack.
Navigate to the Administration/Ratings section of the product.
Find the rating you want to change and apply the changes by changing the three NQL queries for the rating definitions of good, average, and bad, and save the changes.
More information about ratings can be found in the documentation.
If ratings change, update your checklist's in-product documentation (appears in the right-hand Checklist pane in Device View) with updated thresholds to ensure users correctly understand the ratings applied in the checklist.
