# Static IP addresses

{% hint style="info" %}
This advanced security feature is subject to an additional licensed module named *Security plus*.
{% endhint %}

Although your Nexthink tenant has a fixed DNS name, e.g., your\_organization.nexthink.cloud, the IP itself is dynamic by default, and may change over time.

**Static IP** allows you to ensure that any outgoing connection to Nexthink is limited to a small set of known IP addresses. This ensures that these connections are not interrupted by internal firewalls and allows for implementing new tools at the network layer in your networking equipment.

Nexthink will provide you with two static IP addresses to connect to the Nexthink backend.

To enable Static IP, contact [Nexthink Support](https://support.nexthink.com/).
