Managing Agent actions

Use the Agent actions page to review and manage predefined system actions used exclusively by Spark.

Accessing Agent actions

To access the list of available system actions, navigate to Spark > Manage actions.

Use the search bar in the top-right corner of the page to locate a specific action by name.

Agent actions table

The table lists all system actions available to Spark. The table is organized by:

  • Name: The unique name of the Agent action.

  • Origin: Nexthink provides and updates all Agent actions as they are built into the System.

  • Purpose: Agent actions are either Diagnostic or Remediation.

  • Platforms: The platform for which the agent action was designed.

  • Spark permissions: Set the toggle to on to allow Spark to use the selected Agent action.

Agent actions are part of the system content managed by Nexthink. You cannot create, edit or delete them.

Enabling Spark permissions

In the Spark Permissions column, toggle the switch to enable or disable an Agent action.

Action menu

Select the relevant Agent action and click over the action menu on the right side of the table to view:

  • Execute action: Run the selected action on a relevant device to verify its behavior before enabling it for Spark.

  • View results: Access the execution results for the selected action from the NQL query results on the Investigations page to review its outcome.

Querying Agent actions with NQL

Refer to the Spark NQL capabilities documentation for more information.
