Managing Agents actions

Use the Agent actions page to review and manage system actions available to Spark. These actions are predefined and used exclusively by Spark.

Accessing Agent actions

To access the list of available system actions, navigate to Spark > Manage actions.

Use the search bar at the top right to locate a specific action by name.

Agent actions table

The table lists all system actions available to Spark. The table is organized by:

  • Name: A unique name for the agent action.

  • Origin: All agent actions are provided and updated by Nexthink as they are built into the System.

  • Purpose: Agent actions are either for Diagnostic or Remediation.

  • Platforms: The platform for which the agent action was designed.

  • Spark permissions: This toggle button enables whether Spark can use the selected agent action. New actions are disabled by default.

Agent actions are system content managed by Nexthink. You cannot create, edit, or delete them.

Enabling Spark permissions

On the Spark Permissions column, toggle the switch to enable or disable an Agent action.

Action menu

Select the relevant Agent action and click over the action menu on the right side of the table to view:

  • Execute action: Run the selected action on a relevant device to verify its behavior before enabling it for Spark.

  • View results: Access the execution results for the selected action from the NQL query results on the Investigations page to review its outcome.
