# What's new 2026.6

This page lists key features and improvements released in version 2026.6 of the **Nexthink Infinity Standard edition** - July 13, 2026

Feature availability may differ between Nexthink Infinity and Nexthink Infinity for Government. For a complete overview, please refer to the [Infinity for Government Feature Exclusion List](/platform/security/infinity-for-government.md) and detailed release notes on the [Extended Documentation](https://edocs.nexthink.com/nexthink-infinity/infinity-release-notes) website.

## AI Tools: Cascading filters

Navigate organizational data more efficiently with cascading filters in AI Drive. When you select a value in a higher-level organizational filter, related filter options are automatically narrowed while remaining fully accessible, making it easier to explore data across divisions, departments, and teams. This simplifies dashboard navigation, supports broader sharing, and helps you analyze AI adoption more effectively across your organization. Refer to the [Monitoring AI adoption](/platform/user-guide/ai-tools/working-with-ai-tools/monitoring-ai-adoption.md#breaking-down-ai-tool-adoption-by-employee-groups) documentation for more information.

## Workspace ✦: Expanded Assist knowledge sources

Access more relevant insights in Workspace with expanded knowledge sources and richer query capabilities:

* **Knowledge Base and ITSM insights**: Enrich Assist responses with information from your organization's knowledge base articles and ITSM tickets, providing more relevant recommendations and analysis based on your own support content. You can also centrally manage knowledge bases in Administration.\
  This feature requires configuration before use. Please see the [Using Workspace](/platform/user-guide/search-and-workspace/using-workspace.md#troubleshooting-it-incidents) and [Knowledge Bases](/platform/user-guide/administration/ai-resources/managing-knowledge-sources.md) documentation for more information.
* **Support for custom data model fields**: Generate context-aware NQL queries that use your organization's dynamic and custom fields, enabling more accurate analysis tailored to your environment. Refer to the [Search and Workspace](/platform/user-guide/search-and-workspace.md#nexthink-assist-data-scope-when-creating-nql-queries) documentation for more information.

  💡 Thanks for expressing your interest in [this feature](https://ideas.nexthink.com/ideas/CP-I-3161) on our ideas portal!

These enhancements help Assist deliver more accurate, organization-aware responses and generate queries that better reflect your environment.

## Desktop Virtualization: FSLogix insights

Monitor FSLogix container health with detailed insights into mount failures, load times, and storage metrics. You can now see exactly why containers fail to mount, together with usage, footprint, and free space, alongside other logon data. This helps you quickly identify root causes, address storage issues before they escalate, and keep virtual desktop performance reliable. Refer to the [Using Session view](/platform/user-guide/vdi-experience/using-session-view.md#properties) documentation for more information.

Depending on your current licensing model, this capability may require an additional license. Contact your Nexthink representative for more information.

## Device View: Enhanced performance and activity insights

Investigate Windows device behavior more effectively with new insights in Device View:

* **Application freeze events:** Detect significant application freezes directly in Device View. You can now investigate individual freeze incidents with start time, duration, end reason, and process hierarchy, making it easier to identify and troubleshoot user-impacting application freezes. Requires Collector version 26.6 or later.

  💡 Thanks for expressing your interest in [this feature](https://ideas.nexthink.com/ideas/CP-I-899) on our ideas portal!
* **CPU pressure metrics:** Detect CPU throttling and kernel-level activity with new metrics, including CPU frequency ratio, how much processor time drivers consume outside normal applications, plus how long each device spends under heavy driver activity. These insights help distinguish throttling from genuine workload and reveal driver-level CPU activity that is not visible through per-process metrics. Requires Collector 26.5 or later.
* **GPU and NPU process visibility:** Identify which applications are driving high GPU and NPU usage with binary-level insights, helping you correlate resource consumption with specific workloads. Requires Collector version 26.3 or later.
* **Power transition timeline:** View all significant power transitions, including boots, shutdowns, and resumes from sleep states, providing a clearer picture of device activity and making power-related issues easier to interpret.\
  💡 Thanks for expressing your interest in [this feature](https://ideas.nexthink.com/ideas/CP-I-3002) on our ideas portal!

These enhancements provide a more complete view of device activity and performance, helping you identify issues faster and troubleshoot with greater confidence. Refer to the [Timeline](/platform/user-guide/device-view/timeline.md) and [NQL data model](/platform/understanding-key-data-platform-concepts/nql-data-model.md) documentation for more information.

## Collector: Device configuration profiles

Configure and manage Collectors more efficiently with device configuration profiles. You can create and maintain profiles, apply settings consistently across device groups, and simplify Collector configuration management at scale. Refer to the [Device configuration profiles](/platform/user-guide/administration/system-configuration/data-management/device-configuration-profiles.md) documentation for more information.

For guidance on migrating existing Collector deployments to device configuration profiles, refer to the [Migrating to Device configuration profiles](https://edocs.nexthink.com/nexthink-infinity/infinity-specifications/migrating-to-device-configuration-profiles) documentation, available to Nexthink Community users.

💡 Thanks for expressing your interest in [this feature](https://ideas.nexthink.com/ideas/CP-I-2807) and [this related enhancement](https://ideas.nexthink.com/ideas/CP-I-2307) on our ideas portal!

## Applications: Overview and adoption for limited view domains

Access Applications Overview and Applications Adoption with limited view domain permissions. You can now monitor application usage and adoption within your assigned scope, with metrics such as employee counts reflecting your view domain permissions. This enables teams with restricted access to benefit from application insights while maintaining appropriate data visibility.

This feature requires configuration or setting user permissions before use. Please see the [Monitoring applications](/platform/user-guide/applications/monitoring-applications.md) and [View domain](/platform/user-guide/administration/account-management/roles/view-domain.md#applications) documentation for more information.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.nexthink.com/platform/whats-new/whats-new-2026.6.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
