# Summary

The **Summary** tab consolidates the AHEAD score and AI-powered **Insights** across all five dimensions, giving you a quick read on an application's overall standing before you drill into any dimension.

## Assess the application's overall AHEAD score

<figure><img src="https://268444917-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FxJSUDk9NTtCHYPG5EWs3%2Fuploads%2FDz5eUmkh3Cq85OhaOkRM%2F2026.8_AppEX_Summary_61_Sb6Wp7.png?alt=media&#x26;token=d9a07a8a-acb4-480e-8a12-b2b1d3e7ba1c" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Determine whether the application is meeting its full potential by reviewing the **AHEAD score** and its label:

* Below 50%: **not AHEAD**
* 50–90%: **almost AHEAD**
* 90% or above: **AHEAD**

The score combines five dimensions—**Adoption**, **Health**, **Efficiency**, **Affordability**, and **Delight**—each weighted 20%. If a dimension isn't configured or enabled—for example, **Affordability** without a license count, or **Efficiency** without an AI license—the system excludes it from the score instead of counting it as 0.

Each dimension contributes its own percentage to the score:

* **Adoption** uses active users, with peak usage over the last 13 months as the denominator.
* **Health** scores 100% when stronger than benchmark, 80% when similar, and 50% when weaker.
* **Efficiency** scores based on service requests per employee over 30 days.
* **Affordability** uses the percentage of configured licenses used.
* **Delight** uses the Delight score, rated 1–5, where 1 equals 20%.

## Compare AHEAD dimensions across employee groups

Examine the heatmap to understand how each AHEAD dimension varies across your organization groups.

<figure><img src="https://268444917-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FxJSUDk9NTtCHYPG5EWs3%2Fuploads%2FN73kbWfZbRz256mNI5lF%2F2026.8_AppEX_Summary_62_Hq3Nv5.png?alt=media&#x26;token=4c51642f-cedc-4537-836c-436c37039b7d" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Select an organizational dimension from the **AHEAD by** dropdown—such as **Organization > Division**—to break down **Adoption**, **Health**, **Efficiency**, **Affordability**, and **Delight** by group.

Visually identify groups with consistently strong or weak performance across dimensions. Cells are color-coded: **Good**, **Average**, **Bad**, or **No data** when the dimension isn't configured for that group.

On heatmaps with more than 10,000 rows, the system displays an infobar indicating that not all rows are shown, so the resulting ranking may not reflect the complete dataset.
{% endhint %}

## Investigate AHEAD insights

Review **Insights** highlighting anomalies across all five AHEAD dimensions. Select one insight from the list to open a right-side panel with more context, including affected groups of employees.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.nexthink.com/user-guide/applications/monitoring-applications/monitoring-web-applications/ahead/summary.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
