Library Applications - Microsoft 365 Applications

Overview

The Microsoft 365 Applications library pack for Nexthink Applications can be accessed through the Nexthink Library section of Nexthink Infinity.

This content enables EUC teams to monitor the most commonly used Microsoft 365 productivity and collaboration applications with immediate visibility into their adoption, speed, and reliability.

Note: once installed, the applications is configured by default with a dummy URL pattern. It is required to update this pattern with the organization’s specific instance or tenant ID.

Applications

The pack contains 10 applications, with most monitoring both the web and desktop versions of the application.

Note that some applications monitor three or more key pages and transactions, requiring an Application Experience licensee to function.

You can find the following applications:

Microsoft 365: Teams: Monitors both the desktop and web versions of the application.
Microsoft 365: PowerPoint: Monitors both the desktop and web versions of the application.
Microsoft 365: Word: Monitors both the desktop and web versions of the application.
Microsoft 365: Excel: Monitors both the desktop and web versions of the application.
Microsoft 365: Power BI: Monitors both the desktop and web versions of the application.
Microsoft 365: Visio: Monitors both the desktop and web versions of the application.
Microsoft 365: SharePoint: It requires an Application Experience license to function.
Microsoft 365: Project: Monitors both the desktop and web versions of the application. It requires an Application Experience license to function.
Microsoft 365: Outlook: Monitors both the desktop and web versions of the application. It requires an Application Experience license to function.
Microsoft 365: OneDrive: Monitors both the desktop and web versions of the application. It requires an Application Experience license to function.

Key pages: Examples

The key pages play a role of grouping individual URL’s. For example, Microsoft 365: Outlook application groups URLs into Contacts , Tasks, , Calendar and Mail key pages.

Transactions

There are several examples of transaction provided in this Library Pack. These examples can be used to create similar transactions if needed.

Below are the examples of how the transactions were defined.

Microsoft 365: Outlook “New email” transaction

Transaction start is triggered on “New mail” button click with automatic option for transaction end.

Microsoft 365: Outlook “Switch to calendar view” transaction

Transaction start is triggered on “Calendar” button click with automatic option for transaction end.

Microsoft 365: SharePoint “Edit Page” transaction

Transaction start is triggered on “Edit” button click on SharePoint page with automatic option for transaction end.

Microsoft 365: SharePoint “Republish Page” transaction

Transaction start is triggered on “Republish” button click on SharePoint page with automatic option for transaction end.
